Two fiddles and 1984
A couple of weeks ago a pattern was released on which I had been waiting a while: the Hana shawl. As I had shown interest in it before, the designer gave me a notification that the pattern was released – and a discount!
I bought it straight away. And I cast on straight away. Spending a couple of hours on a Friday night, most of the day during the following Saturday, and some hours Sunday, I finished it. All the while listening to 1984 as audiobook. Every time I see the shawl now, I think of 1984 :o)
It took me about 12-13 hours in total knitting time. Interesting to see how long such a process takes! I used 2 skeins of Madelinetosh Tosh DK in the color Violin (hence the 2 fiddles), and weighed the yarn on the last rows to make the most of it. I actually omitted a few rows, as I calculated that there wasn’t enough yarn for those.
